circa 1900, measuring 31in. x 21 1/2in. including frame, the black velvet ground with applied moulded gilt lettering 'NOBEL'S SPORTING CARTRIDGES' at the top and 'NOBEL'S EXPLOSIVE CO. LTD. GLASGOW' below the central blue velvet shield-shaped display mounted with a starburst of metallic pistol and rifle ammunition bordered by paper cased mostly 12-bore cartridges and including brands such as 'Kingsway', 'Ajax', 'Clyde', 'Orion', 'Valeka', 'Regent', 'Empire' and others with various case qualities and display cartridges in the out-field (some colour fading to cases, small losses to edges of frame)
